Una explicación podria ser que interpretemos el F#m como parte de un II-V, siendo el quinto B7, el cual es sustituto tritonal de F7.&lt;br /&gt;Compás 4: Frase basada en la triada de E con su 9na.&lt;br /&gt;Compás 5: Cromatismos sobre 3ra y tónica de E (sustituto de Bb7) que culminan en la 13na. y 9# del Bb7.&lt;br /&gt;Compás 7: Aprox. cromaticas sobre la 9na. y luego la 7ma. del B7 (mismo concepto que el comp. 2)&lt;br /&gt;Compases 8 , 9 y 10: Ciclo de 5tas descendentes (D7-G7-C7-F7-) para terminar con un cromatismo descendente.&lt;br /&gt;Compás 11: Cromatismo, luego escala simetrica dism. de C7.&lt;br /&gt;Compás 12: Aprox a la 5ta. de C7 y resuelve en F7b9.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Obviamente no creo que Kenny Barron, cuando grabo esto,  haya pensado teoricamente compás a compás, esta es una manera de analizarlo para llegar a una conclusión.
